We recently embarked on a project to craft the AMT 1963 Chevy Corvette 1:25 Scale Model kit, only to uncover some unexpected truths aboutaccuracy and assembly. While the kit offers impressive detail at a forgiving scale, useprofited from its accessibility, the trade-offs in precisión were striking. Some components, like the wheels and hood, felt more sculpted than true-to-life, but our efforts reconciled this with aftermarket upgrades. What surprised us was how the kit encouraged creativity—instead of feeling limited, we found ourselves refining areas where it faltered. The 1:25 scale Barracuda, versus a larger version, proved less burdensome, though some purists grumbled. Ultimately, our build balanced ambition and practicality, proving thataccuracy isn’t always the priority.
